As he bids farewell to the big concert stage, Sir Rod Stewart is set for a touch of romance. The announced concert in the small Italian town of Codroipo, with a population of just over 15,000, will take place in the idyllic Villa Manin Park, situated in the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
Villa Manin, near Udine, was built in the 17th century in the style of a country villa belonging to the Venetian nobility. It belonged to the Venetian Manin family. From 1789 to 1797, it served as the residence of Ludovico Manin, the last Doge of Venice.
On 26 June, this uniquely atmospheric venue will be entirely dedicated to music icon Rod Stewart, who will be performing his greatest hits against this historic backdrop as part of his Final Encore Tour.
The fan club presale for the only show in Italy begins next Monday, 19 October, with general ticket sales starting the following day (both at 10.00 am local time).
