Penny Lancaster announced yesterday that she has written an autobiography, which is set to be released on 25 September, as Rod Stewart's wife revealed on her social media channels. The magazine ‘HELLO!’ was the first to report on the book announcement.
On social media, Penny said: ‘I am thrilled to announce that my new book, Someone Like Me, will be released in September this year! At times, I have felt alone and overwhelmed by some of the most difficult experiences I have had, but I have found that not only has it helped me to delve deeper into those moments and share them, but it has also had a positive impact on others.
Writing this book was challenging, but it showed me that we all go through things, overcome difficulties and rediscover parts of ourselves that we may have lost along the way. Life is full of ups and downs – we all learn from them, and when we embrace this process, we can grow and heal. Join me as I reflect on my lessons in life, love and the importance of staying true to yourself. I can't wait to share my story with you all."
Penny Lancaster has been married to Sir Rod Stewart since 2007 and has two sons with him – Alastair and Aiden.
Lancaster is an ambassador for Penny for London, a charity that helps young people escape poverty and is supported by Northern & Shell, the former parent company of the Daily Express. She is also vice-president of the Royal National Institute of Blind People and patron of the British charity Care Of Police Survivors.
In 2020, after appearing on Channel 4's “Famous and Fighting Crime,” Lancaster joined the City of London Police as a volunteer special constable. In April 2021, she completed her training as a special constable and is now fully qualified. Among other things, she was on duty during the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II and the coronation of King Charles III.
