Sir Rod Stewart, who is still recovering from the flu, has announced another concert in October 2025.
The singer announced on his social media accounts that he will perform at the Corregidora Stadium in Querétaro on 9 October. The American online news portal Latinus.us also reported the 80-year-old's performance in a timely manner, highlighting that it will be the singer's first performance in the Mexican metropolis in over 36 years.
‘The announcement of the show planned for 9 October revives that time in 1989, which was dubbed “Mexican Berlin” due to the repression that rock music was subjected to in the country,’ Latinus recalled. ‘Media reports and eyewitness accounts remind us that young people in Mexico at that time were besieged by state censorship, music was considered a threat, and large concerts of this genre were restricted,’ the portal explained. It continued: ‘However, the arrival of Rod Stewart in 1989 – the same year as the fall of the Berlin Wall – represented an opening to freedom and the future.’
Advance ticket sales for Sir Rod's performance in Queretaro are already underway. Tickets are still available in all categories from 32 to 272 euros. Queretaro is Rod Stewart's second concert in Mexico this year; the Maggie May singer will also perform in Mexico City on 7 October.
