It’s finally here: Rod’s former saxophonist Katja Rieckermann and the Austrian musician Bernhard Penzias, who go by the band name Kat & Burn, released their eagerly awaited album *Common League* yesterday, Tuesday. The album, which comprises a total of 13 tracks, has since been made available on all major streaming platforms.

“I’m absolutely delighted to announce that Kat & Burn’s album ‘Common Language’ has been released,” writes the North German artist on her social media channels. “I promise you’ll find at least one song you’ll like, as we’ve incorporated all sorts of musical styles, such as jazz, hip-hop, rap, dance, rock, spoken word, reggae, new age and world music” .

Kat & Burn launched a crowdfunding campaign at the start of the year to cover the immense production costs. A total of over $4,000 was raised, clearing the way for the songs they’d already written to be produced.
“We’ve been working on the album for almost a year and a half,” says Rieckermann. “Why not give it a listen?”
