Guitarist and singer Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones, ex-Faces, ex-Jeff Beck Group) will celebrate his 60-year career on 26 September 2025 with the release of the new double LP or double CD ‘Fearless – The Anthology 1965–2025’, which will of course also be available digitally. According to the announcement, the compilation brings together key tracks from Wood's seven solo studio albums, his most important work as a co-writer, and defining moments with the Rolling Stones, The Faces, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Lane and the Jeff Beck Group. His early years with The Birds and briefly with The Creation are also represented on the CD edition.
On top of that, the album contains four new songs (Wood's first new solo material since 2010's I Feel Like Playing). The anthology presents a rich and varied collection of tracks, it continues, including a new version of the 1960s song ‘A Certain Girl’ featuring Chrissie Hynde as guest vocalist. Imelda May provides additional vocals. The final encore is a new composition by Wood entitled ‘Mother Of Pearl’. All new songs were co-produced by Ronnie's son Jesse and producer Sean Genockey.
A detailed new essay by British music journalist Paul Sexton, who has been following Wood and the Stones for over three decades, provides additional insights into the artist's career. The anthology also celebrates Ronnie's successes in the 1970s, from timeless Faces classics such as ‘Ooh La La’ and ‘Stay With Me’ (which Wood recently reinterpreted as a special guest at Glastonbury with Rod Stewart) to his essential contributions to Stewart's solo career. In addition, several songs from the often underrated solo album I've Got My Own Album To Do (1974) receive the attention they deserve.
