Sir Rod Stewart is currently relaxing and recharging his batteries for the concerts coming up from 20 September – first in the United States again, then in Central and South America, and finally in Europe.
Time for us to take a look back at the concert year 2025 so far. And we'll start with a few bare figures. Rod Stewart has played a total of 44 concerts this year, seven of which had to be cancelled or postponed due to illness.
These included the two concerts in Rancho Mirage and Paso Robles, which will now be rescheduled for 20 and 21 September. After that, the singer will probably come to Las Vegas for the last time, to the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, where he has played over 200 concerts since 2011. To be precise, there have been 208 to date. Sir Rod made his first appearance as part of his ‘The Hits’ show in the Nevada desert in August 2011 – a truly impressive series.
The Brit will give six more concerts in Las Vegas. Is it really One Last Time – as the tour motto announces? Or is there perhaps another door opening in the background?
Be honest! Last year was also supposed to be ‘one last time.’ After that, Rod wanted to stop the big tours and take a step back. Think again! By the end of 2024, the first show dates for this year were already coming up, and they quickly became more and more.

So is this really the end after this year? The fact is: Stewart is now actually 80 years old, even if you wouldn't really know it to look at him. And certainly not on stage, where he still dances around and runs from left to right and back again, joking with the audience and occasionally cracking a joke. And where he still rocks and croons with his unique voice, which is as powerful as ever, much to the delight of the audience.
So it's hard to imagine that this legend will be bidding farewell to the world's stages at the end of the year. Especially since most of his concerts were or are already sold out.
Tickets for the three shows in Argentina's capital Buenos Aires (22-24 October) were sold out within hours of being announced. Except for a few remaining tickets, tickets for the shows on the European tour, which starts in Hamburg at the end of November, are also sold out.
Sir Rod will perform a total of 26 times between September and the end of the year. This brings him to a total of 70 concerts in 2025, provided no further dates have to be cancelled. An impressive number for an artist of his age.

And then? Are we really experiencing One Last Time? Rod has announced in various interviews that he does not want to retire. A new album – a country album? – is under discussion. There is also supposed to be a new Faces album – most of the songs have already been recorded. Will there perhaps also be a second version of the successful Swing Fever album with Jools Holland?
Questions upon questions come to mind. At the moment, only Rod knows the answers, or perhaps even he doesn't know yet. For now, let's just wish him a good holiday so that in a few weeks' time he can continue to inspire us all as he has done so far this year.
