Change to tour schedule: Bogota cancelled – Rod will perform in the Dominican Republic instead

A few weeks ago, fans of singer Rod Stewart in Colombia were left disappointed when the British singer's concert, scheduled for 14 October, was cancelled at the end of June. There has been no official explanation from the organiser or personal statement from Stewart as yet.
Today, it was officially announced that Sir Rod will instead perform in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic on 14 October. Tickets for the show at the Arena Santo Domingo will go on sale on Thursday, 21 August. The fan presale starts this Friday, 15 August (at 10 a.m. local time).
Sir Rod himself announced on his social media channels: ‘I can't wait to play at the Santo Domingo Arena on Tuesday, 14 October. Get ready, we're bringing you all the hits and a really good time.’
Meanwhile, there is great disappointment in Colombia, as reported by the news portal infoabae. The paper also speculated that the cancellation is similar to the concert cancellations in May, when Sir Rod had to cancel several shows in Las Vegas and North America due to the flu.
It is not yet known whether there will be a replacement date for the performance in Colombia.
