In just a few days, Rod Stewart will perform on three consecutive evenings at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires. For weeks now, enthusiastic fans in the Argentine capital have been eagerly anticipating next week's show.
We spoke to Adriana D'Emaro from the Rod Stewart Argentina fan club to find out how the fans are feeling three days before the first concert.

Argentina FC was founded several years ago by two hardcore Stewart fans, Adriana Altamirano and Daniel Marra, the latter also known in fan circles as the ‘Shoemaker of the Stars’. Daniel has been supplying Sir Rod, his band members and many other more or less famous people with exclusive footwear for many years, which earned him this nickname. Argentina FC is mainly active on Facebook, where it has several thousand members from all over the world.
In ‘preparation’ for the upcoming concerts in the metropolis, some members of Argentina FC attended the official launch of Rod Stewart's whisky brand ‘Wolfie's’ in Buenos Aires at the beginning of October. The event took place at the Whisky Museum in the Argentine capital, and the fan club members appeared in style wearing Stewart T-shirts or Celtic Football Club jerseys. ‘It was a magical and incredible evening,’ Adriana D'Emaro, also a long-time member of the fan club, told us. ‘It was great to spend this event with so many fans of the band.’ Adriana has been a fan of Rod Stewart since she was 15 and is also eagerly awaiting the upcoming shows.

‘Of course, I'm really looking forward to the concerts,’ says Adriana. ‘I'll be at all three concerts in Buenos Aires,’ she announces proudly.
The rush for tickets for the three evenings at the Movistar Arena was enormous; within a few hours of the announcement, all three concerts were completely sold out. For those who are still undecided, there are currently only a few resale tickets available, and the arena will be bursting at the seams every evening from next Tuesday to Thursday. The multifunctional arena can accommodate 15,000 visitors.
Adriana D'Emaro has been eagerly awaiting the moment when Rod takes to the stage on Tuesday for days. ‘I'm super excited,’ she admits. ‘I will enjoy the concerts with joy, lots of love and hope. What I feel for Rod is simply indescribable and can hardly be put into words.’
However, she also feels a little wistful when she talks about Rod's ‘farewell tour’ and realises that this year could actually be the last time the Brit will perform in her home country. In the end, however, Adriana is simply overwhelmed with anticipation for what is to come this week. ‘Being surrounded by like-minded fans and friends who share my passion creates a sense of community and togetherness, which enhances the feeling of experiencing the rock legend up close.’
We asked Adriana what makes fans in Argentina and throughout South America so special. ‘South American audiences tend to be more expressive and less reserved in their enthusiasm. In other countries, concert audiences can be more formal and reserved,’ says Adriana, referring to the comparison with fans in Europe, for example.
With this enthusiasm, which is in the blood of Argentinians, we can be sure that Buenos Aires and Sir Rod will experience ‘tres noches mágicas’.
However, Adriana did not want to end our conversation without expressing her sincere gratitude. She thanked Sir Rod, Wolfi'es, Adriana Altamirano, and Daniel Marra for their continuous work on and with Facebook, and especially for organizing the Wolfie's event in Buenos Aires. She also thanked her friends Silvia, Teresa, Juana, Carolina, Paula, Marta, and Brian from FOREVER YOUNG FRIENDS UNITED BY ROD. “They dream without limits and make those dreams come true,” said Adriana.
