This man is simply unstoppable, much to the delight of millions of his fans around the world. In an exclusive interview with People Magazine, the 80-year-old singer revealed that he has nothing left on his bucket list. ‘I've achieved everything,’ said Sir Rod.
Although – or perhaps because – he is currently on tour and will be on stage in Mexico City tonight, the Brit is not thinking about retiring at all.
‘I have no interest in that whatsoever,’ Stewart emphasises. ‘I still enjoy what I do. I love it. You can see that. I absolutely love it, but everything comes to an end.’
Nevertheless, retirement is not an option for the Celtic fan. The Grammy winner, who has sold over 250 million records, could easily retire and end his career, but he has no desire to do so. ‘I'm very happy with what I've achieved so far,’ he said.
When asked if he would be interested in performing at the Super Bowl or the World Cup, Stewart admitted that this was not the case.
‘I've played at Glastonbury, so I'm happy,’ he explained, referring to his performances at the famous festival in 2002 and earlier this year. As for what remains to be done, the singer of ‘Da Ya Think I'm Sexy?’ admitted, ‘I don't have a bucket list,’ adding, ‘I've achieved everything.’
‘I'm supposed to record a country album and I'm in the process of producing an original album,’ he continued, talking about planned projects.
Stewart recently completed the final run of his residency show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where he will return in May 2026.
After his final concert, he headed to Caspian's Cocktails & Caviar, a hidden speakeasy bar at Caesars, to celebrate the second anniversary of his Wolfie's Whiskey.
At the speakeasy bar, Stewart stood behind the counter and poured drinks. Later, he jumped on stage to sing ‘Maggie May’ and ‘Ooh La La’ with the house band after being presented with a cake in the shape of his beloved whiskey.
Nevertheless, Stewart told PEOPLE that he himself abstains from alcohol for a specific reason. ‘I find it easier to keep my voice in shape, and tonight it was excellent. Since I've been drinking less, it's been excellent for about a year,’ he said.

After celebrating his 80th birthday in January, Stewart said he keeps himself in top shape in various ways – both physically and mentally.
‘I have hobbies. I exercise,’ he said. ‘I have my sport. I love watching football and sport, and Celtic. My hobby does me a world of good. All men should have a hobby.’
The music legend also counts his completely intact family life among the things that keep him so fit and healthy. ‘I have a loving family. I have an absolutely beautiful wife,’ the singer emphasised.
After concerts in South and Central America, Sir Rod will embark on another concert tour of Europe in November and December, ending the concert year with a performance in Abu Dhabi a week before Christmas.
And next year, the fun will continue. Thirteen shows have already been confirmed for 2026. Stewart will then return to Las Vegas in May and June.
