US singer and Rod's buddy Richard Marx released his new album ‘After Hours’ today (Storyteller reported). The LP features interpretations of songs such as ‘The Way You Look Tonight’ and ‘Fly Me To The Moon’, but the 13 tracks also include nine previously unreleased songs.
These include the track ‘Young at Heart’, which Marx recorded together with Sir Rod (as reported by Storyteller).
However, the newly released song will not be the only collaboration between the two friends this year. Marx will also accompany Rod Stewart as a special guest at several of his US concerts this year, for example on 13 March in Uncasville and on 8 June in Phoenix.
The album ‘After Hours’ and thus also the song ‘Young at Heart’ are now available on all well-known streaming channels and also at all major music stores such as HMV. Storyteller has added ‘Young at Heart’ as a new entry to the Rod Stewart Radio programme.
Lyrics
"Young At Heart"
(feat. Rod Stewart)
Fairytales can come true, it can happen to you
If you're young at heart
For it's hard, you will find, to be narrow of mind
If you're young at heart
You can go to extremes with impossible schemes
You can laugh when your dreams fall apart at the seams
And life gets more exciting with each passing day
And love is either in your heart, or on her way
Don't you know what it's worth, every treasure on Earth
To be young at heart
Oh, for as rich as you are, it's much better by far
To be young at heart
And if you should survive to be one hundred and five
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
And here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart
Oh, yes
Oh, yeah-yeah-yeah
And if you should survive to be a hundred and five
Look at all you'll derive out of being alive
And here is the best part
You have a head start
If you are among the very young at heart
