With three points in the bag, yesterday was a good day to celebrate. In the afternoon, Sir Rod Stewart and his son Alastair set off for Falkirk, some 700 km from London. The reason: Celtic Football Club was playing a catch-up game in the Scottish Premiership there that evening.
And even though the Hoops struggled in the match against the current sixth-placed team and only managed to win 1-0 (1-0) thanks to a header from Sweden's Benjamin Nygren, Sir Rod was in high spirits that evening. Things are looking up again for the Bhoys in Green since Martin O'Neill replaced the unsuccessful Wilfried Nancy on the bench.
This had to be celebrated, so Rod and his entourage made a late-night visit to a karaoke bar, where Stewart, to the delight of the guests, sang along loudly to his song ‘Have You Ever Seen The Rain’, which was performed by a pub guest. Shortly afterwards, he blew a few kisses to the crowd and made his way home with a quick ‘God bless’.
