The King's Trust will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Monday, 11 May with a festive gala at the famous Royal Albert Hall. Under the title ‘A King's Trust Celebration’, the traditional concert hall will become a meeting place for music, awards and moving life stories of young people from all over the world for one evening.
The event will be hosted by British TV stars Ant and Dec. Starting at 6 p.m., guests can look forward to a varied programme with a prominent musical line-up: Jools Holland with his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, Craig David, Rod Stewart, Rita Ora, Ronnie Wood and Anne-Marie will be among those taking to the stage. Further artists are yet to be announced.
However, the focus of the evening will not only be on the stars, but above all on the young award winners. The event will honour the courage, creativity and extraordinary achievements of teenagers and young adults who have been supported by the King's Trust – both in the United Kingdom and internationally.
The King's Trust is a charitable organisation founded in 1976 by the then Prince Charles. The foundation's aim is to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds improve their professional and personal opportunities. Through financial support, mentoring, further education and individual counselling, the Trust helps thousands of young people every year to start their own businesses, find work or develop new perspectives for their lives.
Tickets for the anniversary event are available from £40. The gala, organised in partnership with TK Maxx, promises an evening of music, emotion and inspiring stories – while sending a strong message about the potential of the next generation.
