According to consistent media reports, a comeback by the Faces appears to be imminent. As Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood revealed in a recent interview, the three surviving Faces members, Rod Stewart, Kenney Jones and Wood, are planning a comeback after completing their new, previously announced album.
Wood reported: ‘Yes, we would very much like to do that. We have these songs that we've been working on for a long time, but it's difficult to coordinate our schedules. When we have the opportunity to go back into the studio, we will finish these songs. We have a whole bunch of good songs.’
The chances of a Faces reunion were given new impetus in the summer when Wood shared the stage with Sir Rod Stewart at Glastonbury – and realised that the old chemistry was still there after half a century. ‘Absolutely nothing had changed,’ said Ronnie.
