
Celtic FC are Scottish football champions for the fourth time in a row. With a 5-0 (3-0)
win at Dundee United, the Bhoys in Green were crowned Premiership champions just four matchdays before
the end of the season.
For team manager Brendan Rodgers' side , who won the title for the fourth time with the Hoops, it is the 55th championship in the club's history and brings them level with record champions Rangers in terms of titles.
At Tannadice Park in Dundee, the old and new champions took the lead through an own goal by Ryan Strain (30th). A short time later, former German junior international Nicolas Kühn added a brace to make it 3-0 (38.,45.+3) and ensure a clear lead at the break. After the change of ends, attacker Adam Idah quickly increased the score to 5:0 (47,
58) and Celtic were finally able to chill the champagne.
The Hoops now have the chance to win the double on 24 May , when Celtic face Aberdeen FC in the FA Cup final.
