More bitter news for all Rod Stewart fans in the USA. The show scheduled for today, Thursday, 5 June, at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas has also had to be cancelled.
The singer himself announced this a few hours ago on his social media channels. He wrote: "I'm awfully sorry to have to cancel my show June 5th at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. My doctor ordered a bit more rest while I recover from the flu. Thanks for your love and understanding. - Rod". This means that the second concert this week has also been cancelled. The Maggie May singer recently had to cancel last Sunday's show and postpone the concert until 10 June. It is still unclear whether Sir Rod will be able to perform the other concerts planned for this week on 7 and 8 June as scheduled.
Next week, the 80-year-old will continue his North American tour, which will take him across the United States and Canada over the coming weeks and months. He is also scheduled to perform at the Glastonbury Festival in England at the end of June.
