Sir Rod Stewart kicks off another series of his residency shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas today, which also marks the start of his North American tour, taking the Maggie May singer across the United States and Canada until mid-August. But Sir Rod will have to jet back to the United Kingdom at the end of June for a performance, as his concert in the legendary slot at the legendary Glastonbury Festival is scheduled for 29 June.
As Stewart has now announced, he will be getting some prominent support for his show in the south-west of England. None other than Rod's best friend and Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood will be joining him on stage at the festival in Somerset. In the podcast ‘That Peter Crouch’, Rod revealed that he and Wood ‘will be performing together at Glastonbury’.

In the latest episode of the podcast, former England international footballer Crouch, who played 42 international matches for the Three Lions between 2005 and 2011, scoring 22 goals, joined hosts Chris Stark and Steve Sidwell on a pilgrimage to the stately home of none other than Sir Rod Stewart – rock legend, model railway enthusiast and die-hard Celtic fan.
Recorded in Rod's private gym overlooking his personal football pitch, this episode was a treasure trove of quirky stories and charming confessions. From Elton John giving him a Rembrandt painting to the infamous drunken Scottish Cup draw, Rod held nothing back.
He spoke candidly about his lifelong love of football, his competitive friendship with Elton, and how his passion for model railways helps him stay grounded and vocal during his world tours.
Whether he was reminiscing about pitch invasions at Wembley, revealing the secrets behind his Vegas shows, or recounting his cheeky escapades in the 70s, Rod Stewart showed his most honest and likeable side in conversation with Crouch.
